ORC loves to teach and guide SCUBA divers, but in our own way. Fed up with the commercialism and

environmental indifference of many dive shops, our staff has created a new atmosphere for PADI

courses and guided dives.

How we´re different:

 

When you arrive at ORC, you will be welcomed into our breezy beach-forest property and settled into a nipa hut with an unobstructed ocean view.  Fresh, healthy meals will be prepared for you, some with ingredients from our own organic garden and with native Filipino home-cooking recipes in the hands of the local people’s organization BaLiKat.

 

As you dive and snorkel with ORC, you will learn how to help the marine environment and its neighboring human community while being assured of high-quality instruction from an experienced Open Water Scuba Instructor or Divemaster.   On land, you’ll be offered any mini-presentation you might fancy, from basic coral reef biology to the science behind marine sanctuaries.

 

We outsource catering, transportation, and trek guiding to the local people’s organization BaLiKat and other community members to augment their livelihood. Any remaining proceeds go straight into our operating budget for education, community development, and marine monitoring.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Besides diving...

 

Silago and its neighboring municipalities are natural gems almost undiscovered by international tourists. The following offerings can all be easily arranged, so we encourage you to enjoy them as much as we do. And if you love vermiculture or gardening, feel free to help us on our ORC homestead!
